Police Charge Naperville Man Living in Basement with Possession of Child Porn

Naperville Police Department have charged a 30-year-old man with possession of child pornography.

Police said they have charged a Naperville man who was living in a basement of a residence with possession of child pornography. 

Timothy A. Carpenter, 30, who resides in the basement of a home in the 1500 block of Treeline Court, was arrested Wednesday around 6:54 a.m. after police executed a search warrant, police said. 

Upon investigation, the Naperville Police Department High Technology Computer Crimes Unit and Investigations Division located videos and images of children under the age of 13 "engaged in sexual conduct," police said.

Carpenter was taken into custody and charged with six counts of possession of child pornography, all Class 2 felonies, according to police. 

He was transported to DuPage County Jail and is awaiting a bond hearing, police said.
