Tiffany Stephens, Neighbor

My name is Tiffany Stephens I have lived in this wonderful city of Naperville for 16 years. I was a candidate for Naperville City Council in 2011. I currently serve on the Board Of Directors for Transforming Lifes Academy. I am a active Rotarian for The Rotary Club of Naperville South. I am the Founder and Vice President of Kids Teen Rider a Not-for-profit 501(c)3 transportation service for kids and teens in Naperville and the surrounding areas. I am a wife and mother of four beautiful children. A 9 year old son in first grade, 16 year old daughter a high school junior, 18 year old daughter a Cosmetology student, 21 year old son a  College Of Dupage Culinary Student, and the proud grandma of a 1 year old grandson.

My heart and love is being committed to serving the city and communities of Naperville. Growing up on Chicago's northside in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods I saw it all. My faith, love and belief in God allowed me to never give up, always keep a positive attitude, always smile because it's like food for the soul, always look toward the future and learn from the pass. The Kids and teenagers in our communities today needs that positive adult role model, along with someone they can trust and believe in; while mentoring them every step and in every part of there lives.

We all know that our children today is our future for tomorrow! If we don't put anything in our children, we won't get anything out of our children.

I would like to say "Thank You" to Jesse White (Illinois Secretary of State) for believing in me; letting me experience the hard work of what it takes to be a Jesse White dancer; traveling with the Jesse White Tumblers. I am forever humble and grateful for you being there always knowing you are one phone call away. Giving me and other children everything you had including a warm, safe storefront to call home. Mr.White always made sure we had the love, support and education built around us giving us the tools to make positive decisions, while preparing us for a fair chance to succeed in our everyday challenges in life. My promise to God, myself, my family and Mr. White is to keep that tradition going, by networking and being the voice for the people in the community, schools, businesses and Non Profit organizations to preserve the history of our city; while enhancing the quality of life for everyone in Naperville.
