Karen,
Perhaps you can educate me so that I can use all of the services, benefits, and features that the Patch can provide for a person who wants to launch a business.
I believe there is much that I am not aware of or familiar with. Thank you for your professionalism.

Not sure if you covered it already, did you cover the States's Attorney's opinion on whether the mayor can hold dual offices?

Hi Doremus,
We actually did do this story in October: http://elmhurst.patch.com/articles/state-treasurer-the-state-has-unclaimed-money-property and another one in August: http://elmhurst.patch.com/articles/state-trying-to-match-money-with-owners-12
No money for me :(

Hello Mrs Chandra,
Maybe you could let people know that a lot of Elmhurst residents have unclaimed funds with the State Treasurers office. Here is the Link

Thank you John. Let me know if he captures any breaking news photos. Maybe we can run some on Elmhurst Patch.

Karen,
I see you post some police reports.
Just wanted to tip you, and your Elmhurst Patch Community to a new website my 10-year old son and I have launched http://elmhurstpics.info
We're resurrecting an old passion of mine; publishing photos of "major" police and fire activity in town and the surrounding area.

Karen,
By the way, Mr. Ward has a history of bashing as I refer you to a letter I sent you on June 24 of this year.
Sincerely,
Vincent Russell

Karen,
Mr. Ward's bigoted attack on the Catholic Church and Cardinal George is an outrage. If he is writing what he believes to be a factual story, fine. Since he has viewed his opinions and represents Patch, I will be sending letters to all Elmhurst Catholic parishes and advertisers in town to boycott Patch with readership and advertising. I will also be sending a letter to the Catholic League and the Catholic Union.
His column is filled with anti-Catholic hatred and inaccuracies.
This kind of article is simply intended to strike a nerve and has no place in what most people perceive Patch to be.
Sincerely,
Vincent Russell

Dear Ms. Chadra,
Here is my reply to writer Jeff Ward's article about sex offenders. Mr. Ward's comments show not only complete anti-Catholic bigotry, but an article that is completely void of facts or completely misused facts.
Thank you,
Vincent Russell
Mr. Ward,
Since you are so good with statistics and claim children are far more likely to be abused by a priest than a stranger, can you tell me of the 123 abusers you list, how many are/were priests? Zero, right? Yes, ZERO, Mr. Ward! Now, list how many are protestant clergy, teachers, computer programmers, plumbers, etc.
The fact that you call out priests and exclude every other occupation shows not only are you a bigoted, anti-Catholic, but you are a poor investigator and writer by misuing facts. Your article should be titled, SEXUAL ABUSE in DUPAGE--LOOK NO FURTHER THAN YOUR OWN DINNER TABLE. In addition, this list is for all sex offenders, not just child sex offenders.
Smearing priests by using biased opinions, not facts, is as anti-Catholic as they come. And you take the cake.

Hi Karen, I noticed that you changed the title of my blog story from "Sweet Table" to "Sweets Table". I have never heard that term in the plural before. The Oak Mill Bakery website says that they specialize in "Sweet Table Displays". Would you please change it back? My Polish & Italian friends will think that it's a typo.

It is a closed session, not an emergency session, that is part of the superintendent search. They have been conducting interviews in this manner for weeks. I will call the district this morning just to verify that, but to my knowledge, that's all it is. We reported that they were going to be adding a lot of extra meetings in order to select a superintendent. They have to announce them any time there is a quorum of the board meeting together.
