Colleen LeMaire, Neighbor

Colleen started out at Marquette University and ended her college experience at Augustana College, graduating in May of 2010. She couldn't be more excited to be starting her career at Patch. She's always known writing was what she wanted to do and she loves meeting people and hearing their stories. Colleen's first news publication came at age 14 in the Kane Country Chronicle and from there she held an opinions column in the St. Charles Examiner throughout high school and then onto the Augustana Observer. Holding a column in one newspaper or another for the past eight years has only fueled her passion for writing and this past she year lived in Australia and wrote for a national magazine, even getting the chance to interview the DJ from the Obama inauguration! Colleen has lived in the Chicagoland area her whole life, along with the rest of her big Irish family, and in her spare time she loves heading into the city, running, biking and driving with the windows rolled down and the music turned up! Go Cubs!
