Police: Man Charged With Sexually Exploiting Girls in Downtown Naperville

Manuel Gonzalez, 41, of Aurora, was charged with sexual exploitation of a child after police said he was found masturbating inside of his car in downtown Naperville.

A 41-year-old Aurora man was charged with sexually exploiting two teenage girls after masturbating in his parked car in downtown Naperville, the Naperville Police Department said. Manuel Gonzalez, of the 1700 block of Melbourne Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Jackson Avenue and charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said. Police: Naperville Man Charged With Sexually Exploiting Girls at Dairy Queen

Steven Andy Wu, 28, of Naperville, was charged with sexual exploitation of a child after police said he was found masturbating inside of his pants outside of an ice cream parlor window.

A 28-year-old Naperville man was charged with sexually exploiting four teenage girls after masturbating outside a window of a Dairy Queen, Naperville Police Department said. Steven Andy Wu, of the 1700 block of Penn Court, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday near Naper Boulevard and Abbeywood Drive and charged with four counts of sexual exploitation of a child, Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said. Police received a call from a teenage girl regarding a suspicious individual at 9:04 p.m. July 7. UPDATE: Woman Charged With Harassing Naperville Resident Using Email, Facebook

Monica Gonzalez was charged last week with harassment, false personation, and computer tampering using Facebook and Yahoo! email.

A Lisle woman was arrested last week after demonstrating a pattern of harassment against a Naperville resident earlier this year, Naperville Police Department said.  Monica Ruth Gonzalez, 33, of the 5800 block of Oakwood Drive, was arrested by Naperville Police on July 2. She was charged with harassment through electronic communication, false personation of an attorney, and two counts of computer tampering, according to police reports. A warrant for her arrest was issued in June after a Naperville detective filed a complaint demonstrating four instances of electronic harassment against the resident from Naperville.  The incidents began in January of this year when Gonzalez sent a profanity-laced message accusing the Naperville resident of…

4 Women Arrested in Connection with Naperville Prostitution Sting

The Naperville Police Department arrested four women in "Operation Cross County VI," a nationwide crackdown on prostitution and trafficking organized by the FBI.

Four women were arrested and charged with prostitution at a Naperville hotel Friday after the Naperville Police Department participated in the FBI’s “Operation Cross County VI,” a nationwide crackdown on child sex trafficking. While no children were involved in the Naperville sweep, 79 child victims of prostitution were discovered and more than 100 pimps were arrested across the country during the three-day operation, according to the FBI. “Even though our arrests didn’t net any children involved in prostitution, it was under that particular operation,” Naperville Police Department Sgt. Rash of Car, Home Burglaries Reported to Police

Naperville Police Department report more than a dozen thefts and home invasions from residents Sunday night through early Tuesday morning.

The Naperville Police Department received a number of reported thefts and break-ins from Sunday night to early Tuesday morning.  Unlocked vehicles were mostly targeted, but a few homes were also invaded, including some detached garages. It appears the incidents were sporadic as they occurred throughout various areas of Naperville at different times. Patch will provide updates on the incidents as we receive them.

Naperville Police Department charged a 26-year-old Fulton man with two counts of child pornography and unlawful solicitation to meet a child.

A northwestern Illinois man was charged with unlawful solicitation to meet a child — 5 years or older and child pornography, according to Naperville Police Department reports.  Brian Charles Dyke, 26, of the 800 block of 4th Street in Fulton, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday, police said. He was arrested in the 400 block of North Cherry Street in Morrison.  Police charged Dyke with two counts of grooming, two counts of child pornography - photo and unlawful solicitation to meet a child – 5 years or older, according to booking information from the DuPage County Sheriff.  Police gathered approximately 20 images of child pornography involving two victims from the alleged offender’s property upon his arrest on March 22, according to a news …

Police Seek Information on Crossbow Attacks Targeting Geese

Naperville Police Department looking for more information about two incidents in which Canadian geese were injured by arrows in Naperville.

The Naperville Police Department is seeking information regarding incidents in which two Canadian geese were shot with crossbow arrows. The first incident occurred Feb. 23 when Naperville Animal Control received a report that a Canadian goose was shot with an arrow near Century Farms Park. It was later treated for non-life threatening injuries by the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors. More recently, on May 7, another goose was also shot with an arrow and found by Chicago Bird Collision Monitors on May 12. Once the group examined the goose, they found the arrow had penetrated the wing and body of the animal. The goose was subsequently euthanized due to the injuries sustained from the arrow attack. Shelia, There is a law that protects the geese. I do not believe it is legal to gather geese and donate the meat.
