Naperville Home Burglarized While Owner Out Walking Dog: Police

A Naperville homeowner said jewelry was stolen from her home while she was out walking her dog last Wednesday, according to reports.

The burglary occured Wednesday, Nov. 21 in the 800 block of South Wright Street when the homeowner was out walking her dog around 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., according to the Naperville Police Department.  During that time frame, the thief or thieves stole jewelry valued at $3,000 from the master bedroom of the home. Police said there were no signs of forced entry to the residence.  Earlier in the morning, while no one was at the victim's residence, a white, heavyset female with blonde hair wearing a brown jacket was seen walking …

Reward Offered for Information in Home Burglary

A resident recently awoke to find a burglar inside the master bath.

A Naperville resident was awakened recently to an unwanted visitor. Police said that a man broke into a home, but left empty handed. Naperville Crimstoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the incident. A resident in the 700 block of Sigmund Road was home sleeping at about 1:25 p.m. Sept. 17 when they woke up and saw a man leaving the bathroom in the master bedroom, according to a news release from the Naperville Police Department.  Nothing was stolen from inside of the home, said Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell. It appeared that the man broke a glass window next to the front door and was able to unlock the door from the inside and gain entry to the home, police said. The burglar was described…
