Gas Guide: Prices on the Decline

After months of prices creeping upward, they have taken a dip in a cheaper direction.

Prices for gasoline in Naperville are starting to get in line with prices nationally. The cheapest gas around town comes in at $3.49, just a few cents off the national average of $3.451. The talking heads said that prices would drop once we moved into fall and the special blend required for the area during the summer was no longer required. Whatever the reason for the drop in prices, if prices continue to decrease I’m sure few people would complain. Where can you find the cheapest gallon of gas in town? Naperville Patch gives a rundown of the stations with the best prices.

Prices as the pump are falling again in Illinois, that according to GasBuddy.com. The average price of a gallon of gas is back to $3.839 in Illinois while nationwide the average is $3.651. The state of Illinois has a special website dedicated to monitoring gas prices and consumers are encouraged to report incidents of suspected price gouging or other problems, such as gasoline quality. As of Tuesday the state reported the average price was $3.792. Local prices seem to be in line with the average. Where can the cheapest gallon of gasoline be found around Naperville?
