Republicans Select Troyanowski to Run for Wheatland Highway Commissioner

Mark Troyanowski was elected during an emergency meeting of Wheatland Republicans on Wednesday after Scott Bishop withdrew his candidacy.

Troyanowski will now run for highway commissioner among a slate of Republican candidates, replacing Scott Bishop, who withdrew for personal reasons. The new candidate is running against incumbent Dayton Jarnagin, who was elected as a Republican but is running as an Independent, and Democrat Dawn De Sart. Wheatland Candidate Withdraws from April Election

By Shannon Antinori Wheatland Township Republicans are seeking a replacement to round out their slate for the April 9 election after highway commissioner candidate Scott Bishop withdrew from the race. Township deputy clerk Bill Alstrom, who is running for clerk, said Tuesday that Bishop withdrew for personal reasons. Alstrom said Wheatland Township Republican Organization (WTRO) leaders became aware of Bishop’s decision last week, and that a meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday to select a replacement.
