You know those monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people from rock on the Chilean Polynesian island of Easter Island between the years 1250 and 1500? Yeah, those things. Well, a 4-foot tall one was taken from the front of a Geneva home recently. We are not making this up. Someone stole the “Easter Island Head” sculpture from the front yard of a residence in the 2200 block of Pepper Valley Drive sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 16 and 7 a.m. Nov. 17, Geneva police reports said. The 4-foot cement statue had an estimated value of $100.
