Police Seek Leads in Pickerel Court Vandalism

Naperville Police Department is seeking information regarding vandalism incidents in south Naperville.

The incidents occurred overnight on New Year's Eve in the 400 block of Pickerel Court after cars and mailboxes were damaged and an American flag was taken from a residence, according to the Naperville Police Department. Police said the suspect or suspects used an unknown object to scratch several profane images into the exterior of a vehicle. Crime Stoppers Seeks Information in Car Dealership Vandalism

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information related to a November incident at Toyota of Naperville.

Last month vandals damaged a number of vehicles at a Naperville car dealership and now a reward is being offered for information leading to arrests. Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest for damage caused at Toyota of Naperville in November. More than $3,000 in damage was done to eight vehicles in the lot at Toyota of Naperville, 1488 W. Ogden, sometime between Nov. 19 and 21, according to Naperville Police. The vehicles had window and body damage. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Naperville Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. All callers may remain anonymous.

Police Blotter: Stolen Soap, Vehicle Vandalism, Missing American Flag

Naperville Police Department reports for July 5.

Ilene Bitton, 41, of the 200 block of Sycamore Drive was arrested at 12:01 a.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue and charged on an original warrant for contempt of court, police said. Her bond was $150. Maxwell George Wright, 20, of the 800 block of Morningside Drive, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of W. Jefferson Avenue and charged with criminal defacement of property, police said. His bail was $1,500. Scott Robert Bostrom, 21, of the 1200 block of Wilshire Drive was arrested at 5:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of W. Jefferson Avenue and charged with criminal defacement of property. His bail was $1,500. Police Blotter: Theft at Church, Damaged Lawn

A caller reported that between 11:59 p.m. Friday and 6:20 a.m. Monday  paintballs were shot all over the south side of a school in the 1300 block of Olympus Drive. The paintballs caused no damage. It was also reported that the spray-painted letters RYN were found on a rooftop brick wall, police said. Police said a 19-year-old man in the 0 block of Birchwood Drive reported at 8 a.m. that a rear window of his truck cab was shot out by a BB or similar projectile while parked in his driveway overnight. It was reported between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Springdale Circle that a ventilator cover on the roof of the building was removed over the weekend causing damage to the fan, police said. Reward Offered in Vandalism Incidents

Crime Stoppers offers $1,000 for information leading to arrest.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in recent vandalism incidents where several cars were keyed, a mailbox was destroyed and paint was dumped on a vehicle. Sometime between 2 and 4 a.m. Saturday three vehicles were keyed in the area of Wild Timothy Court, Pennyroyal Circle and Prairie Sage Lane, according to the Naperville Police Department. Also Thursday, a mailbox was removed from a home on Pennyroyal Circle. In addition, the mailbox was placed on top of one of the vehicle’s that was keyed and that also had blue paint poured on it, police said. A 25-year-old male reported that between 7:30 and 7:43 a.m. a passenger failed to pay a $20.80 cab fare, police said. Someone in the 800 block of N. Mill Street reported that between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7:56 a.m. Tuesday about 4 tons of scrap metal was stolen from a job site. The metal was valued at about $20,000, police said. Graffiti was found in the 500 block of Charles Avenue at 10:29 a.m., police said. The word “Crips” was spray painted in green paint on the concrete area of the playground.
