Dolls Have a Guardian Angel of Their Own
Angel Whitt, owner of Angelic Creations, provides a service to those who treasure their dolls and stuffed animals. She mends them and returns them just as they were—worn and loved.
Like most little girls, Angel Whitt loved dolls—as did her mother and grandmother. They would buy dolls for a nickel or a dime and fix them up. Dolls were always a part of Whitt’s life, so in the 1970s when her mother asked her to take a porcelain doll class, Whitt obliged, not realizing it would set her on a course to a career and business ownership. “I enjoyed doll making so much, I became an addict,” she said. “I didn’t plan on going into business.” Every day when she arrives at work, Whitt gets to play with dolls. As the owner of Angelic Creations, Whitt sells, restores and repairs dolls and stuffed animals. Her 30-year-old business, located on Washington Street, offers almost anything related to dolls—from the dolls themselves to …
