Small Fire Damages Roof of Rosebud Restaurant in Downtown Naperville

Firefighters responded to a small fire at Rosebud Restaurant in downtown Naperville Thursday afternoon.

Update: Nov. 16, 11:32 a.m.  Rosebud Restaurant in downtown Naperville reopened for business Thursday at 4 p.m. just a few hours after a small fire on the restaurant's roof was extinguished.  The fire caused $100,000 in damage to Rosebud Italian Restaurant, 22 E. Crews arrived to the scene at 12:01 p.m. and found a small fire burning on the restaurant's roof after receiving a 911 call from the restaurant at 11:56 a.m. Thursday. Rosebud: A Delicious Dining Experience

A lunch of pasta without the heaviness that might otherwise leave a diner needing a nap.

After more than a week of eating granola-esque meals at a yoga retreat, I debated having a lunch that would keep me in that healthy-eating mindset. I changed my mind. For a week I ate no pasta, no bread and no dairy, which meant no cheese. So, the only thing for me to do was to go Italian. I stopped for lunch at Rosebud Italian Specialties & Pizzeria and was not disappointed with my choice. I visited Rosebud once before and that was at the old location. I wanted to try the new location and its menu. The interior of the restaurant is nice and spacious and the air conditioning was in full force on the day I visited. Couples and larger parties seemed to be happily enjoying lunch. Since it was a nice sunny afternoon, I chose to eat outside. …
