The annual fireworks program will be held on July 3, coinciding with the final day of Ribfest.

Naperville will have a star spangled celebration a little earlier than in past years. Tuesday night fireworks will be going off in town as the annual Fourth of July fireworks show is held on July 3. The annual fireworks display will be held at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ribfest - in Knoch Park -  bringing the five-day festival to a close. The Exchange Club of Naperville, the city of Naperville, and the Naperville Park District sponsor the fireworks display. Entrance to Ribfest is free after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Free shuttle bus service is available to and from Ribfest. The fireworks will be synchronized to music and residents can listen along with the broadcast on 95.9 the River, according to the Naperville Park District. Read more about Ribfest. …

Ribfest 2012 Winners Announced

Exchange Club of Naperville announces top three for ribs and sauces.

Is it the sauce? Or is it the ribs themselves that make the whole rib eating experience so good? The rib tasting judges for Ribfest 2012 had the tough job of choosing the best ribs and sauce. Safe to say that no vegetarians were involved in the judging this year. And, unless that sauce was too fiery, the job was probably not too hard to take. The results are in and the winners have been announced for the Exchange Club of Naperville's Ribfest 2012 Best Ribs and Best Sauce. This year's best ribs award goes to Armadillo’s, and the best sauce goes to Johnson’s, which in 2011 was named best ribs and sauce. If you haven't been to Ribfest yet, you still have until Tuesday. Ribfest was off to a great start, drawing thousands of people seeking ribs, music and more.

Ribfest was going strong on Sunday afternoon despite opening up a little late due to stormy weather. The festival opened at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday, said Mark Wright, chair of Ribfest 2012.  Rough weather has been a slight issue for the festival, with thunderstorms causing officials to close the festival a little early on Friday night and cutting short the Steve Miller concert, but Wright said that overall, Ribfest was off to a great start.  Attendance is great and Saturday night about 28,000 people were roaming the grounds at Knoch Park, Wright said. The Exchange Club of Naperville's Ribfest is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The event is a fundraiser for the club, which uses the funding to help end child abuse and domestic …

Ribfest 2012: Remote Parking, Shuttles, Parking Restrictions

Ribfest will be held June 29 - July 3 and the city is providing information on parking and shuttles to and from the event.

From the city of Naperville The city of Naperville is offering reminders about the upcoming street closures, parking restrictions, shuttle locations and accessibility plans that will be in effect throughout Ribfest, taking place June 29 to July 3. Several road closures and no parking zones will be in effect durating of the festival, as well as additional closures and restrictions on July 3.
