The beauty of Mother Nature was in full display Tuesday night during the thunderstorm that rolled through the western suburbs. There was a lightning strike on the average of every quarter of a second. This amazing display was captured in Naperville. Do you have photos from the storm? Storms sweep through area, leave downed trees, damage.
Winds in excess of 65 mph were clocked in Naperville on Monday morning as severe storms blew through the area. Although some areas were left without any significant damage, other neighborhoods in town experienced downed trees and temporary power outages. A lightning strike also caused an attic fire in a home, but nobody was injured. The National Weather Service says there is a 30 percent of storms moving through Naperville Monday afternoon, although severe storms are more likely south of the Illinois and Kankakee Rivers. I'm sorry, but I don't buy your explanation about the ''random" pick. This complaint isn't a matter of who won, but how the contest was portrayed and what was stated in the rules. You clearly stated, "we'll hold a vote for the best dog/owner combo." In fact, I thought the pic was supposed to be of a dog and owner, not just the dog.
