Phoebe is a 3-year-old American pit bull terrier mix that was a shelter transfer due to lack of space.  She is a friendly but shy girl who does get along with other dogs, but should not live with cats.  As she can be sensitive, kids in her new home should be at least 12 years old.  She likes going for walks, playing with toys and sitting on a nice cushy lap.  Phoebe has become a favorite at the shelter due to her gentle and kind nature.  Stop by soon to meet Phoebe!  She is patiently waiting for her new home. Winston is a 2-year-old male bullmastiff mix that was initially found stray but ended up here at NAHS, where all the staff and volunteers fell instantly in love with him.  Although everyone has been smothering him with attention, he would like nothing more than to find a forever home.  He loves being around people but doesn’t enjoy feline friends, so he shouldn’t live with cats.  Winston may enjoy having a dog buddy in his new home, but he’d like to meet them first.  Being a mastiff mix, he’s quite large and still enjoys playing and romping around so kids in Winston’s new home should be old enough to handle his size.  This gentle giant is guaranteed to give you lots of love, so come meet him soon! Kideo is a brown/black domestic short hair that is 4-1/2 years old and has been at A.D.O.P.T. since of April of 2011. He is another one of our big boys who loves to perform Karate bouts with his friend, Elmer. He is also a laid back gent who loves pets and head bumps. Come visit Karate Kideo and watch one of his bouts — bring your own popcorn. Olive and Omar are five-month old Labrador retriever mix puppies. They and their littermates came to came to A.D.O.P.T. as a rescue transfer from Indiana animal control. Olive and Omar are the last siblings to be adopted from the litter.  They are quiet, but playful. They are very sweet and are looking for good homes. Like every puppy, they will need to go to obedience school to learn commands. Tanner is an 8-year-old male, front declawed, buff tabby domestic shorthair.  He came to NAHS when his owner couldn’t keep him anymore due to allergies.  While waiting for a special home, Tanner is one of the official people greeters in the front lobby.  He loves getting attention and enjoys meeting new people.  Tanner can live with kids, other cats and other dogs.  This handsome, loveable guy won’t disappoint, so come meet him today! Doey is a 5-year-old front-paw declawed kitty who loves lounging in the sunlight.  She has a very sweet and laid-back temperament. She's good with other cats, some dogs and older children who are cat-savvy. She is currently up for adoption in the front office so please visit her soon! Blake is a 6-month-old exuberant hound mix puppy with a lot of love to give. He's going to be a very large dog full-grown and will need someone patient to train him and give him lots of exercise everyday. He's a special needs puppy who has trouble walking from time to time. Thumbelina is a 3-½-month-old, female Labrador retriever mix puppy.  She’s quite petite, and should grow up to be much smaller than a typical Lab.  Thumbelina came all the way from Oklahoma to find the perfect home and is looking for a family with the time and patience to train a rambunctious little one!  She would be fine living with other dogs and cats.  Because she is very much a puppy and still jumpy and mouthy, kids in her new home should be old enough to handle her rough playing.  A cutie like Thumbelina will find a home quickly, so come meet her at NAHS today!
