Naperville Police Bust Six in Prostitution Sting

Naperville Police regularly scour the Internet searching for suspected prostitution activity, which led to charges Thursday.

A sting Thursday resulted in charges for prostitution and pandering, Naperville Police said. The Naperville Police Department’s special undercover unit regularly checks social media websites for suspected prostitution activity in the Western suburbs, said Naperville Police Department Sgt. Gregg Bell. Thursday’s arrests resulted from online communications and police setting up meetings at a location on Iroquois Avenue, he said.  Police made six arrests, with four women charged with prostitution and two men charged with pandering, among other charges, according to police reports. Naperville Police Department reports, Nov. 1

Katarzyna Emilia Gringas, 19, of the 1200 block of Potter Road, Park Ridge, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. at Interstate 88, Naperville police said. She was charged with driving without insurance, disobeying a stop sign and driving on a suspended/revoked license. George A. May, 24, of the 1000 block of Harmony Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 8:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Mill Street and Laura Court, police said. He was charged on a warrant. His bail was $500.  Calvin Lee Brackins, 32, of the 7700 block of South Evans Street, Chicago, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. in the 1500 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road, police said. Lori Ann Lambert, 48, of the 900 block of North Johnson, Rockford, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. in the 1500 block of Naperville-Wheaton Road on a charge of prostitution, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Dennis E. Worley, 52, of the 900 block of North Johnston Avenue, Rockford, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. at Naperville and Warrenville roads on charges of pandering and having a defective side/rear windshield, police said. His bail was $1,500. Ian Marcel Ingram, 30, of the 1700 block of Deerrun Drive, Montgomery, was arrested at 1:51 a.m. in the 500 block of Chamberlain Lane, police said. Three More Face Prostitution-Related Charges

Naperville police arrested a man and two women late Friday night at a hotel located on the northeast side of the city.

Naperville police have charged three more people with prostitution-related offenses after their arrest late last week at a local hotel. Among them is Jamal R. May, 31, of the 1100 block of West 82nd Street in Chicago, who remained in custody at the DuPage County Jail late Monday. He was arrested at a northeast Naperville hotel located in the 1500 block of Naperville Wheaton Road Friday around 10:50 p.m. on two Kendall County warrants. He also was charged with six felonies: driving on a revoked or suspended license for the fourth time, obstructing identification, possession of a controlled substance, keeping a place of prostitution, resisting a peace officer and pandering, according to a police report. Naperville Police Nab Seven in Recent Prostitution Bust

Seven Chicagoland men and women were arrested late last week after police investigated suspected acts of prostitution occurring on Naperville's north side.

Naperville police arrested seven people in connection with a recent prostitution sting—one of many local busts in the past several months. Members of the Naperville Police Department's Special Operations Group investigated people who had been engaging in sexual acts on the city's far north side, according to a news release sent at 8 a.m. Tuesday. They identified the suspects using Internet sites. "The suspected prostitutes posted various services on the internet and agreed to meet their customers at various locations and perform sexual acts in exchange for money," stated the release. Sedivy, 24, of the 27W400 block of Wallace Road in Wheaton, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of North River Road and Millennium Lane after police said she crashed her vehicle into a tree. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions. Her bail was set at $3,000. Karla J. Naperville Police Arrest 20 in National Prostitution Crackdown

A three-day law enforcement effort focused on prostitution led to 20 arrests of people from all over the state and country. One local woman was included in the bunch.

Naperville police arrested 20 people, including one from Naperville, and charged them with prostitution-related offenses during a three-day national enforcement effort last week. Working with local and state  police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children headed up the crackdown, known as "Operation Cross Country V," from Nov. 4 to Nov. 6, making arrests in 40 cities, according to a news release sent today by the Naperville Police Department. Operation Cross Country V led to the recovery of 69 children who were being victimized through prostitution, stated the release.
