No injuries after Naperville Fire Department extinguishes apartment complex blaze Friday afternoon.
A fire in an apartment complex caused an estimated $100,000 in damage on Friday afternoon at 1520 Fairway Drive, according to the Naperville Fire Department. No one was injured in the fire and the Naperville Fire Investigation Team determined that the cause of the fire was due to food left unattended on a stove in the apartment unit at the Country Lakes apartment complex. Crews extinguished the fire within 20 minutes. Fire fighters were called to the scene at 1:04 p.m. after a resident reported an appliance fire.
