DuPage County Board Member Michael McMahon Will Not Run in 2012
McMahon has represented District 3 since 2000.
DuPage County Board Member Michael McMahon announced Wednesday that he would not seek re-election in District Three. McMahon was first elected in the district, which includes Darien, Downers Grove, Woodridge, Westmont, Clarendon Hills, Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Willowbrook and parts of Naperville, in 2000. "Although I will miss the important work of the board, I thought that the time was just right to focus all of my energies on my family, church, work and community involvement,” McMahon wrote in a statement. McMahon is the chairman of the board's judicial and public safety committee. He also serves on the environmental, finance, legislative and strategic planning committees.
