Naperville Witness: Boston 'Eerie' in Aftermath of Marathon Explosions

Naperville resident Isabella Von Der Linden and her sister remained in lockdown at a hotel Monday night just blocks away from where two explosions rocked the Boston Marathon earlier.

Steeple Run Lockdown Lifted, Police Searching for Burglary Suspect

Steeple Run Elementary school in unincorporated Naperville was on lockdown for several hours this morning after reports of shots being fired during a home invasion in a nearby neighborhood.

A text message, voicemail and email were sent to Steeple Run Elementary school parents alerting them to keep their children inside shortly before 7 a.m. when the police activity occurred.
