April Home Sales: Naperville Continues To Experience Sales, Price Increases

Naperville saw a slight increase in the number of homes sold during the month of April. The median home price also rose slightly, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.

The 133 single, detached homes sold in Naperville during April 2013 represented a 7.3 percent increase over April 2012, when 124 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 102 homes sold in Naperville during March. The number of homes sold and the median home price both increased slightly in April in Naperville. The median price rose 4.6 percent to $400,000 from $382,500 in April 2012. Sales of single-family, detached homes in suburban Chicago increased 33.2 percent in April 2013 compared with the same period a year ago, MORe reported. Sales in DuPage County, were notable, as well. January Home Sales: Naperville Sales Up Slightly from 2012

The 70 detached, single-family homes sold in Naperville last month represented a 16.7 percent increase over January 2012, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors reports.

By Lauren Williamson The 70 detached, single-family homes sold in Naperville during January represented a 16.7 percent increase over January 2012, when 60 homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe). There were 110 homes sold in Naperville during December. The number of home sales was up as well as the median price of homes sold in January. The median price saw a small 1.7 percent increase to $341,250 from $335,450 in January 2012.  The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout DuPage County saw growth in January, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data. Glen Ellyn saw the largest percent increase, with 312.5 percent more homes sold year over year in …
