Cultural Center Brings Taste of Mexico to Naperville
Community members participated Friday evening in a Dia de Los Muertos celebration at the city's municipal center.

Fiona, 10, learned about the Latin American holiday in school, she said Friday while attending The Naperville Cultural Center's El Dia de Los Muertos celebration at the city municipal center. The event featured a live band, mask painting, food, artwork and an ornate altar — traditionally made on the holiday as on offering to a loved one who has died. The local Dia de Los Muertos celebration was meant to encourage diversity by teaching about global customs, said Michelle LeBlanc, founder of the Naperville Cultural Center.
