Congresswoman Biggert to Hold Forum on Naperville's Heroin Reality

U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert is set to hold a Heroin Education and Prevention Forum next week at North Central College's Wentz Concert Hall.

Teen heroin use in Naperville has garnered significant attention this year after the deaths of seven young people and the premiere of a student-produced film documenting the issue. Police Department Holding Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Naperville Police Department collecting expired and unwanted prescription drugs this weekend.

This weekend the Naperville Police Department is giving residents the opportunity to turn-in their unwanted prescription drugs as part of the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.  Police will be collecting expired, unused and potetially dangerous prescription drugs during the free and anonymous program on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A collection site can be found at the Naperville Police Department located at 1350 Aurora Ave.   More than 377,000 pounds of unwanted medications from around the U.S. were turned in last year during the DEA's third National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
