District 203 Approves Budget, Welcomes New Hire
The district has a new assistant superintendent of secondary education. Board unanimously passes 2011-12 budget.
On Monday night, the Naperville School District 203 board of education approved its budget for 2011-12. The board began discussing the budget in May and the public was given a month to comment on the proposed budget before the board took action. Dave Zager, the district’s chief operating officer, laid out the budget at prior meetings, explaining that the district’s operating budget for 2011-12 will be $224 million and it will be balanced. Construction costs are $13.2 million and the district’s debt service is $3.6 million. A report in TribLocal.com stated that the budget was approved without public comment or discussion Monday night.
