Police Blotter: Possession of Cannabis, Stolen Jewelry

Naperville Police Department reports, Jan. 22

Theft of labor/services Max Joseph Anderson, 25, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged with theft of labor/services. He posted bond.  Possession of cannabis Michael Joseph Sullivan, 19, was arrested at 11:54 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. He posted bond. Property damage Someone broke the glass of an outdoor train station shelter in the 400 block of Fairway Drive, police said.  Jewelry stolen Five pieces of various jewelry were stolen from a jewelry box in a bedroom in the 1600 block of Clyde Drive, police said.

OMG PD: Egg Roulette, Moving Mini-Monolith, Mailbox Never Had a Chance

A round-up of recent and bizarre police report items from the area.

You know those monolithic human figures carved by the Rapa Nui people from rock on the Chilean Polynesian island of Easter Island between the years 1250 and 1500? Yeah, those things. Well, a 4-foot tall one was taken from the front of a Geneva home recently. We are not making this up. Someone stole the “Easter Island Head” sculpture from the front yard of a residence in the 2200 block of Pepper Valley Drive sometime between 6 p.m. Nov. 16 and 7 a.m. Nov. 17, Geneva police reports said. The 4-foot cement statue had an estimated value of $100. Someone threw several eggs at a vehicle while it was parked unattended in the roadway in front of a residence in the 1100 block of Cheever Avenue around 9:55 p.m. Nov. 20, reports said. Police Blotter: Cannabis Possession, Warrants

Naperville Police Department reports, March 8

Miguel Angel Flores, 39, of the 1200 block of Chalet Road, was arrested at 6:07 p.m. in the 800 block of West 75th Street, police said. He was charged with an original warrant related to two counts of endangering the health and life of a child. Shavonta Lavon Simpson, 28, of the 600 block of South Greenbay Road in Racine, WI, was arrested at 3:07 p.m. at 111th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with improper plate/permit display, no valid registration and Illinois Vehicle Code Felonies, police said.

Police Blotter: Forgery, Stolen Bobcat Doors, Cannabis Possession

Naperville Police Department reports, Jan. 26

Matthew Joseph Dudley, 20, of the 2300 block of Shenandoah in Aurora, was arrested at 9:42 p.m. at Liberty Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.  Dominique T. Henley, 23, of the 2700 block of Caroline Drive in Homewood, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. at Dan Wolf Chevrolet, 1515 W. Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with forgery and identity theft. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.  Someone broke locks and stole the doors to two Bobcat skid-steer loaders parked in the lot near Meatheads in the 2500 block of West 75th Street, police said. The value per door was $2,000.

Naperville Man Arrested After Cops Chase Him Through Airport Runway

David Russo, 21, charged with local retail theft, criminal trespass to airport property and resisting a peace officer Monday evening. Second man escapes.

A Naperville man is in custody and another is still on the loose after police chased two men who allegedly boosted liquor from a local Meijer store across the airport runway of Clow International Airport. According to police, officers responded to a call at the Meijer on 225 N. Weber Rd. for the report of two males who had just removed alcohol, fled the store and entered a car. Police were able to locate that car shortly thereafter at a nearby mini-golf course. When police approached the men, the two fled on foot, alcohol in tow, and police engaged in a foot pursuit across the airport property and runway. Police Blotter: Three Arrested for Disorderly Conduct at 3 a.m.; Suspicious Incident

Naperville Police Department reports, June 7-8.

Shawn Michael Regan, 47, of the 1400 block of Lacey Avenue in Lisle was arrested around 2:30 a.m. at 5040 Lincoln Avenue in Lisle, police said. Regan was charged with battery, battery causing bodily harm and an original warrant, according to police reports. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Andrew Phillips Kanning, 19, of the 1700 block of Indian Trail Drive in Naperville was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at 500 South Naperville Boulevard and Keswick Lane in Naperville, according to police reports. Kanning was charged with possession of cannabis, officers said. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Rosa Valencia Lopez, 44, of the 5700 block of West 64th Place in Chicago was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at 2768 Aurora Avenue in Naperville and was charged with retail theft, officers said. Lopez’s bail was set at $1,500 Luis Sanudo, 42, of the 6100 block of Fountain Avenue in Los Angeles was arrested around 10:30 p.m. at 1698 West Diehl Road in Naperville, according to police reports. Sanudo was charged with one count of prostitution, officers said. Her bail was set at $1,500. A 23-year-old man, who works at a business in the 700 block of Enterprise Court in Naperville, reported that between 10:50 a.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, someone stole an iphone from his desk. Police said Brandon D. Williams, 26, of the 1600 block of Coach Drive in Naperville, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. in the 1600 block of Diehl Road on a failure-to-appear warrant.
