BlackFinn Brawl Leads to 6 Arrests; Investigation Ongoing: Police

Police currently investigating fight that broke out at popular downtown Naperville bar early Sunday morning.

Naperville police are currently investigating a brawl that occurred at a popular downtown bar early Sunday morning. Six people were arrested and one employee was injured after a fight broke out around 1:11 a.m. at BlackFinn American Saloon, 16 W. Jefferson Ave., Sunday, according to police.  Officers were dispatched to the bar for a report of a fight in progress. Once inside, police saw "numerous subjects fighting" on the third floor of the bar, according to police.    After an investigation, police arrested Robert M. McIntosh, 25, of Plano; Tyler M. Johnson, 24, of Elgin; Adam Gregoriou, 26, of Naperville and Justin W. Field, 32, of Channahon. The four men were charged with battery and criminal damage to property, according to police. …

Stiletto Spar: Shoe Becomes Weapon in Rizzo's Fight, Two Arrested

Police said a stiletto style shoe injured one person after it was intentionally used as a weapon during a downtown Naperville bar fight Sunday.

Two people were arrested early Sunday morning after a brawl broke out inside a downtown Naperville bar, in which a stiletto shoe was used as a weapon, Naperville Police Department said. Police Seek Two Men in Downtown Naperville Battery

Incident occurred late Saturday night after two men approached and fought with a pedestrian.

Naperville police are looking for more information related to a battery incident that occurred in downtown Naperville late Saturday night.  Police responded to a battery report in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street around 12:22 a.m. on Dec. 16, according to a police release. A man was injured by an unknown weapon when two men approached and fought with him underneath a bridge near the Riverwalk Eatery, police said. The incident started when the men tried to take the victim's hat off his head, which led to a struggle and the victim receiving two non-life threatening lacerations. Special Prosecutor Won't Prosecute Will County Board Member's Son

A special prosecutor brought in to try Will County Board member Steve Wilhelmi's son for battery dropped the case but is still going after two pals of the young man. The fathers of these two men are not on the county board.

When Will County Board member Steve Wilhelmi's son was first arrested for allegedly whipping a man with his belt, he only faced charges of misdemeanor battery and mob action. Then the mob action charge went away, and now he's charged with nothing. A special prosecutor called in to try Wilhelmi's 21-year-old son, Alex Wilhelmi of 1108 Taylor St., Joliet, dropped the case Thursday morning. But David Neal of the Special Prosecution Unit of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor's office is still going after the two men arrested along with Alex Wilhelmi on July 1. Last week, Naperville police discovered the word “snow” spray-painted on two government-owned properties. On Sept. 4, police found the graffiti on the west side of a government building in the 700 block of Washington Street. On Sept. 8, police discovered the word painted on a sound barrier on Washington Street. Police said Troy Lee Davis, 42, of Wheaton, was charged with battery and bodily harm after he was arrested in the 1400 block of West Jefferson Avenue. Davis was taken to DuPage County Bond Court, according to the police report. A laptop and passport were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 800 block of Spring Creek Circle. A bicycle and rack valued at $700 were stolen from the front of a garage in the 1100 block of Preserve Avenue. …

Police said Marek Ryszard Kozina, 27, of the 4100 block of Landing Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue. He was charged with two counts of battery, battery with intent to do bodily harm and knowingly damaging property. His bond was $150.  Police said Matthew Aaron Barrera, 19, of the 1100 block of Needham Road, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. in the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue.
