At Patch, we don’t take shortcuts. That’s why we hire professional
editors and contributors in each of our towns and personally visit
every business in our Directory at least once a year.
Despite our best efforts, sometimes a personal visit is not possible
— a business might be run out of a home or the owner may be too busy.
In this case, we list the business on Patch with as much information as
we have. And because we believe in full disclosure, we include our
verification disclaimer.
We are always looking for feedback on our listings and the verification
process, so if you see incorrect information or have an opinion, please
send us your thoughts. If you are the owner or manager of a business or
organization, you can claim a listing and help determine what
information is displayed on Patch.
Not professional at all! I was referred here by a friend who had been helped by them. I paid for two services and was satisfied with the one I did receive. He said he needed time to get forms ready for the other service but I needed to pay for everything up front. I was given several stories when I tried to contact him to pick up my paperwork and never received it. I ended up having to go to another accountant to get done what I needed. When I asked for a refund ($300 out of $450) for just the service I did not receive (when someone finally would talk to me) I was told the business had been sold to the original owner's daughter. She told me that I would have to talk to him. I was not able to contact him and a certified letter was ignored. I sent a second certified letter to the business asking that they contact him for me. I received a letter back stating that both of my letters were received and that they were unable to contact him. I was given his address and phone number in the letter--the same ones with which I was unable to contact him before. I guess his daughter doesn't know how to reach him. My current accountant knows what he is doing and is very professional--BIG difference.
