Adopt Me! Prancer, Ralphie, Mable and Allen

These are just a few of the adoptable pets waiting for homes at area animals shelters.

Ralphie is a 4 ½-year-old male, white and orange domestic shorthair.  This little guy was found as a stray wandering the streets of Aurora, so he came to in hopes of finding a forever home. Ralphie loves to play and has a ton of energy, so an active home would be great for him. He’s thrilled when he finds other kitties that like to play, so a home with another playful cat would be a great fit for Ralphie! If you’re looking for a laser-pointer chasing, pouncy, bundle of love and fun then come meet Ralphie today!

Prancer is a 2-year-old male Pekingese mix who came all the way from Oklahoma to find a new family. When he was found a stray he was badly matted and had an extremely damaged eye that needed to be removed. He didn’t let that get him down though, and pranced into NAHS as if he was royalty so the name Prancer stuck! Because he can no longer see out of his left side, kids in his home should be old enough to understand he may be easily startled. He enjoys the company of other dogs and cats. This little guy has quickly become a favorite of everyone at NAHS; you should come meet him today!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Mable is a beautiful tortoiseshell mix. She has been at A.D.O.P.T. since February and is 4-1/2 years old. She is just plain good company - who loves attention and talks up a storm. She would make a great addition to your family if you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life. Please come see her as she will be waiting patiently.

Allen came to . from Aurora Animal Control. He is a flat-coated retriever and is about 1-year-old. Allen is an active dog who loves to go on walks and runs. He’s very smart and is well behaved on a leash. He is housetrained and is good with kids.
