Chihuli

Chihuli is a 1-year-old brown tabby and white male domestic shorthair. No one is quite sure why he was named after a famous glass artist, but he likes it because he thinks it sounds like a fancy drink or maybe a chili pepper!  Chihuli was found stray around the holiday season and didn’t have a very merry Christmas.  Now that the New Year is here, he’s looking towards a bright future in a new home.  He’s a playful and affectionate guy but when he’s done playing, he really enjoys his nap time.  Smaller kids should may not understand that while he likes attention, he may need some alone time too.  Although Chihuli can be afraid in new situations, given a little time, he warms right up!

Gonzo

Gonzo is a 1-year-old male Labrador etriever/Alaskan husky mix.  If you’re looking for a great dog that you can take for long walks or jogs through the neighborhood, then he might be the perfect fit for your family. He’s a high energy and playful guy who needs a family that has the time and willingness to teach him a few new tricks and round out his manners.  Gonzo enjoys playing with other dogs, and doesn’t mind kitty friends either.  Because he’s such a big goofy guy, kids in Gonzo’s new home should be old enough to handle a large dog.

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.
