Adopt Me! Lacie, Cornelius, Drake and Bob

These are just a few of the adoptable pets available at area shelters.

Lacie is a 4-year-old female beagle.  She needs an exercise program and if you like to take a lot of long walks, she just might be the perfect dog for you.  She prefers to play with people and doesn’t want to be left out in the yard to entertain herself.  She loves to play with stuffed toys and has been known to sneak tissues out of the garbage to shred.  Lacie is a roly-poly happy girl who can live with dogs and cats and enjoys children of any age.

Cornelius is a 1 1/2-year-old, black and white domestic shorthair.  He loves to talk. In fact he talks a lot, especially when food is around!  He was found as a stray in Naperville and would love a fun home where he can run, play, and have someone to chat with.  He seems to be okay around other cats, but he hasn’t decided if he likes dogs yet.

More dogs and cats are available at the. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and micro-chipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Drake is a cat who does everything in a big way.  He likes to be in the middle of things--and lead the parade. He’s an adventurous cat, but still makes plenty of time to show you his affectionate side. Drake is the demonstrative type, you might say. He is a handsome boy who is brimming with confidence.

Bob came to from another rescue organization.  He is a 6-year-old American Bulldog mix.  Despite the fact that we suspect his previous owners might have abused him, he is a great dog.  Bob is happy to meet everyone.  He is quiet, friendly, strong and playful.  He is a fantastic walker and a constant companion. Bob is longing to find a forever family that will show him what true love is all about and give him a home where he feels secure and loved.
