Adopt Me!: Jacob, Bryce, Spicoli and Grace

These are just a few of the adoptable pets waiting for homes at area animal shelters.

Jacob is a playful 7-month-old Australian shepherd. Jacob knows a few commands and walks well on a leash. He loves to be around people and would be happiest in a household that will include him in their daily activities.

Bryce is a cautious boy who is very level headed. Give him a little time, and he will shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. He is a sweet and handsome boy who just needs time to get to know you first and then he will be your forever friend!

For more information about any of the cats and dogs we have available for adoption please contact at 630-355-2299. The shelter is a no-kill, nonprofit, animal shelter at 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville. Visit us at www.adoptpetshelter.org.

Spicoli is a 9-year-old male cocker spaniel. Spicoli was found wandering the streets of Naperville all alone, and was never claimed.  Now that he is somewhere safe, he’s been known to give kisses, snuggle with people and even chase a tennis ball around! Because Spicoli is deaf, he would do well in a home with older kids. He wouldn’t mind living with other dogs or cats, and would prefer a home with Cocker Spaniel experience. Spicoli qualifies for the senior pet adoption fee of only $50. If a senior person is interested in adoption Spicoli, his adoption fee would be only $10!

Grace is a 2-year-old female black domestic shorthair that was found as a stray. She’s been enjoying her time at the shelter and getting lots of attention from volunteers but would really prefer a new home. Grace can be a little nervous in new situations, but will warm up quickly in a quiet and calm home. She can play a bit rough with kids, so a home with older kids would be best. Because June is Adopt A Shelter Cat Month, Grace and all the other adult cats at NAHS have an adoption fee of only $5. There is a reduced fee of $100 for kittens as well.
