Adopt Me! Bam Bam, Oscar, Niko and Cindy Lou

Area shelters have a wide variety of dogs and cats waiting for homes. Here are just a few of the available adoptable pets.

Did you know that black cats and dogs tend to stay in the shelter longer than other animals?  This is the case with one of our kittens, Bam Bam.  Bam Bam is a playful, sweet kitten who has been here since he was eight weeks old.  Now that Bam Bam just celebrated his 5-month birthday he would love a new home to call his own!  He gets along well with other animals and children and would be the perfect addition to any home!

Oscar is a 6-year-old male beagle who came to when his family could no longer take care of him.  He enjoys spending time with most other dogs and doesn’t mind cats either!  He can be sensitive when people play roughly around his ears and teeth, so kids should be old enough to play gently with him.  Oscar also doesn’t enjoy being crated, so a home where somebody is home part of the time would be ideal.  If you’ve got a little room in your heart, Oscar is sure to fill it with love.  Please come meet him today!

More dogs and cats are available at the Naperville Area Humane Society. All the animals have been examined for health and temperament, started on their vaccines and microchipped. They are spayed or neutered at adoption. Hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Visit at 1620 W. Diehl Rd. in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org.

Niko was rescued by from a kill shelter.  He is a 4-year-old Beagle.  Niko is a complete ham, both literally and physically.  He adores the attention and company of others and he’s got a bit of extra love around the waist.   He loves to go on walks and is very curious with his Beagle nose.

Cindy Lou  has been at A.D.O.P.T. since August, 2010 and is a 4-year-old domestic short hair black and white tuxedo mix.  She is a cat with a lot of personality.  She is feisty and lots of fun.  Sitting on your lap, looking out your windows, checking out your closets and playing with your shoe laces are her favorite activities. Cindy Lou is always entertaining and never boring.
