The project will also include work at six fire station lots. Work will commence first in the downtown lots identified for improvements, with activity in the commuter lots taking place this summer.

For those lots slated for improvement within the month of May, below is an explanation of the work associated with each area.

Van Buren surface lot: Patching and restriping work is anticipated to take place beginning the week of May 5 and occur from 7 to 10 a.m. each day. Some temporary section closures will likely be necessary; however, at least one portion of the lot will remain open for use. After 10 a.m. each day, the lot will be open in its entirety to traffic and all parking spaces will be available for use.

Riverview and Riverwalk lots: Preliminary work will begin the week of May 5 and occur from 7 to 10 a.m. each day. Resurfacing work is anticipated to begin the week of May 12. The Riverview and Riverwalk lots will be completely closed for a 48-hour period once resurfacing work begins that week. Parking will be available in all other downtown lots during that time.

Central Parking Facility surface lot off of Jefferson Avenue: Preliminary work will begin the week of May 5 from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. Patching will continue the week of May 12. Half of the parking spots will remain open while the patching takes place on the other half. Access to the Central Parking Facility parking deck will be maintained at all times.

Central Park and Court Place lots: Preliminary work will begin the week of May 5 from 7 to 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. Patching and restriping work will take place the week of May 12.
