Kites Will Color the Sky at 6th Annual Frontier Kite Fly Festival

The annual festival will be held on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Frontier Sports Complex.

Colorful kites will be flying high in Naperville skies Sunday for the Naperville Park District’s annual Frontier Kite Fly Festival.

The event is being hosted for the sixth year at the , 3380 Cedar Glade Drive, right behind Neuqua Valley High School.

Kite enthusiasts from around the area will put on demonstrations and provide kite-flying tips, according to the . The event is free and open to anyone who wants to participate, whether flying kites or just watching. Entrance to the inflatable area is $5.

A family kite-flying area will be available, the Park District said. There will also be single-line flying and stunts performed with kites. Music and dance entertainment will be part of the festival.

Kite enthusiasts include kite experts Darryl Waters, Al Sparling, Mike Holl, and Team Chicago Kite, according to the Naperville Park District. Entertainment will include Naperville Park District’s Élan Dance Company, Peach’s Beach Party, the Neuqua Valley High School Steel Band, and singer and guitarist Andrew Huber.
