Celebrity Chef, Chris Isaak Set for First Tex Mex and Music Fest

First ever TexMex and Music Fest will blend food from local restaurants as well as top country-fusion bands during two-day event.

Music and the smell of fresh TexMex food from local restaurants will fill the air this weekend during the first TexMex and Music Fest in Naperville.

The event takes place on July 13 and 14 at the  and is presented by Calamos Investments. Top country-fusion bands, including national headliner Chris Isaak, are set to perform.    

Authentic Mexican-style celebrity chef, Rick Bayless, will be conducting a cooking demonstration and attendees can also taste dishes from local TexMex restaurants.

Other musical acts playing on the BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois Entertainment Stage include Asleep at the Wheel, Carlos Ortega, Wil Gravatt Band and The Country Sky Band.

General admission ticket pricing is $30 in advance on Friday, $40 at the door.  Saturday’s pricing is $20 in advance, $30 at the door. Gold circle reserved seating, two-day passes and discounted kids tickets are also available.

All tickets are rain or shine and include musical entertainment, food demonstrations and access to the family activity center.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to DuPage PADS.

Event hours are 4-10 p.m. on Friday, July 13 and 3-10 p.m. on Saturday, July 14.
