Kifowit's Spring Cleaning Event Results in the Collection of 200 Pounds of Medication

AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, hosted a spring cleaning recycling event on Saturday, May 3 at her constituent service office in Aurora, which resulted in over 200 pounds of medication being collected by the Fox Metro Water District.

“I was very happy to team up with several local nonprofits to not only provide local residents the opportunity to clear out space in their homes, but to help give back to the community,” Kifowit said. “The electronics collected today will help those with developmental disabilities receive job training, while the cell phones will provide a much needed lifeline to those who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. I appreciate everyone who stopped by and made this such a successful event and I encourage everyone to consider donating to these organizations in the future.”
