Kifowit To Host Utility Bill Savings Clinic

In an effort to help area families save money on their gas and electric bills, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is hosting a Utility Bill Savings Clinic with the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) on Thursday, November 21 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Eola Branch of the Aurora Public Library, located at 555 S. Eola Rd. in Aurora.

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is a non-profit consumer group created by the State Legislature to fight for the rights of utility consumers across Illinois. In 2012 alone, the Citizens Utility Board helped beat back more than $300 million in higher utility rates, helped people cut their energy and phone bills by over $10 million using free online tools, and helped more than 21,000 consumers at 400 money-saving events across the state. For more information on CUB programs, visit www.citizensutilityboard.org.

Several CUB representatives will be on hand at the event to offer one-on-one assistance and provide attendees with a detailed analysis of their gas and electric bills.
