Kifowit Partners with Fox Valley Park District for Informational Community Meeting

AURORA, Ill. – As part of her continuing effort to provide residents with important community updates, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is inviting the public to an informational session with the Fox Valley Park District as part of her Third Thursday Speaker Series. The event will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Eola branch of the Aurora Public Library, located at 555 S. Eola Rd.

 

"For over 65 years, the Fox Valley Park District has provided our community with recreational activities that promote a healthy lifestyle," Kifowit said. “I am focused on working collaboratively with them to ensure residents continue to have the opportunity to stay physically active.”

Nancy McCaul, Executive Director of the Fox Valley Park District, and Jeff Palmquist, Director of Planning, will be present to share information on current projects, the district’s budget needs, and future developments that are part of their Strategic Plan for 2013-2016.

“The strategic plan reflects the district’s commitment to preparing for the future recreational needs of our community while keeping taxes low,” Kifowit said.  “It is important that area residents have an understanding of the positive changes that are taking place at the Fox Valley Park District."
