Kifowit Hosting Coffee Shop Stops and Senior Fraud Seminar in April

AURORA, Ill. – Continuing her efforts to be accessible to her constituents and help protect seniors from identity theft, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is hosting coffee stop shops throughout the Aurora and Naperville area and will be hosting an Identity Theft Seminar during the month of April.

 

“These coffee shop stops allow me to meet with area residents in a relaxed environment and discuss both local and state issues,” Kifowit said. “I encourage residents to stop by, say hello, and enjoy a cup of coffee.”

• Monday, April 14 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

At the 2Cafe Restaurant, 2290 Ogden Ave. in Aurora

• Monday, April 21 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

At the Benny’s Place, 1158 Douglas Rd. in Oswego

• Monday, April 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

At the Mimi’s Café, 2656 Show Place Dr. in Naperville

 

“Seniors are often specifically  targeted victims of identity theft due to their access to Social Security, 401Ks, and other retirement investments,” Kifowit said. “I hope this seminar helps many area families become more financially protected.”

 

Kifowit will be hosting a Senior Fraud, Scams, and Identity Theft Seminar on Wednesday, April 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 2055 Wiesbrook Dr. in Oswego.

Attendees will be able to learn how to protect themselves from fraud and abuse. A complimentary light lunch will be provided to all who attend, provided by Chick-Fil-A and AARP.
