VIDEO: Neuqua Valley Dance Team's Fourth Place Performance at State
The team performs to "Son of a Preacher Man" this weekend in the Class 3A state dance competition.
The Neuqua Valley dance team took the stage over the weekend at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, returning home with a fourth place finish in the Class 3A division.
The video above shows the team dancing to the song Son of a Preacher Man during their performance at state.
There were 90 total teams that competed in the prelims at the state meet in the Class 1A, 2A and 3A divisions from across Illinois on Friday. The top ten teams in each division, including Neuqua Valley, advanced to the final round on Saturday, according to the IHSA website.
Lake Park High School in Roselle finished in first place in the class 3A competition while Barrington High School finished in second place and Stevenson High School finished in third.
Neuqua Valley finished first in their sectional championship.
