Springbrook Golf Course Has Earliest Hole-In-One of the Year

With mild weather starting off 2012, a golfer scored a hole-in-one last week.

Springbrook Golf Course announces its first hole-in-one of 2012β€”the earliest on record, due to the mild January weather.

Golfer Chad Efner scored the hole-in-one on Friday, Jan. 6 at the fourth hole, using a 7 iron. His name will be added to the hole-in-one plaque at , honoring all who have achieved this feat.

The two public golf courses, Naperbrook and Springbrook, will remain open through the winter for indoor lessons and for outdoor winter golf, weather permitting. Those interested in golfing on milder days are advised to call the golf courses first to confirm that they are open.

For those looking to brush up their game in the off-season, indoor lessons taught by Illinois PGA staff are held at Naperbrook in the net, and include use of a video camera to provide feedback. Additionally, golfers may reserve the hitting station for $10 per hour or $7 per half hour.
