Liberty Mutual Insurance presented the grant check to the Sabres during its recent 40th annual anniversary award celebration.

Submitted by Sabre Hockey Association

Recently the Sabre Hockey Association received a donation to help alleviate budget restraints on its youth athletes and their families. Supporters of Sabre Hockey Association rallied together to earn a $2,500 grant from Liberty Mutual Insurance and will use it to establish the Sabre Hockey Hardship Fund to help offset hockey expenses for families in need.

Sabre Hockey Association is among an elite group of 20 youth sports organizations and schools across the country that completed enough quizzes to earn the grant.  Twice a year, Liberty Mutual Responsible Sports awards $2,500 grants for youth sports associations and clubs and $5,000 grants for school sports programs.  The Responsible Sports Program is a partnership between Liberty Mutual, Positive Coaching Alliance, and a number of national youth sport organizations.  Visit www.responsiblesports.com for more information.
