Predict the Score of the Bears-Seahawks Game to Win $10 to Nick's Tavern

The downtown Lemont pub is offering a gift card to the Patch reader who correctly guesses the score of Sunday's football game.

The Chicago Bears (7-6) will take on the Seattle Seahawks (6-7) this Sunday — and Patch is getting in on the action.

Thanks to a partnership with , 221 Main St., Lemont Patch will be holding a "Predict the Score" contest prior to the Bears game each week. The reader who correctly guesses the score, or comes closest to guessing the score, wins a $10 gift card to Nick's.

• If you’re a Patch reader, simply comment on the bottom of this article with your name and what you think the final score of the next Bears game will be. (Example: Benny Bears Fan, Bears 102, Seahawks 0.)

• All entries need to be received by the start of the game. Since the Bears' next game is at noon Sunday (CST), we'll need all entries by then.

• To determine the winner, we will take the difference between actual points scored and predicted score for each team, and add them up for everyone who posted in the comments section on both sites. The person whose combined total is closest to zero wins. And it doesn't matter if the points you give are higher or lower than actual points scores, we're just looking for the person who has the lowest differential.

• If two or more people tie for being the closest to the actual total of points scored, a random drawing will be held to determine the winner of the gift card.

• Only one entry allowed per person. All participants must be 18 years or older. You can read our official giveaway guidelines here.

So, please, comment away. And tell your friends!

That's all fine and good, but go ahead and predict a score still. That's the purpose of this particular comment board.

I'm not in the habit of battling wits with the unarmed but I followed the instructions and chose to leave a comment.

I just crunched the numbers to determine this week's winner. Rich Tamborski came closest with a point differential of 11, but unfortunately his entry came in after the noon cutoff. The next closest prediction came from Kelly J. Congratulations, you can pick up your gift certificate at Nick's Tavern any time.
