NCC Update: Zobac Wins 3rd Straight Wrestling Honor

North Central's Andrew Zobac improved to 21-1 at 141 pounds and won CCIW Wrestler of the Week honors for third straight week.

North Central College wrestler Andrew Zobac is off to a fast start.

For the third consecutive week, Zobac was named the CCIW Wrestler of the Week.

His 4-3 decision over Kevin Donahue of Cornell College, a two-time Division III All-American and the seventh-ranked 141-pound wrestler in the nation, at the North Central Quadrangular Saturday keyed this week's award.

Zobac, a junior, is 21-1 so far this season, building upon last season's 23-12 campaign, which saw him win the CCIW title at 141 pounds.

The only thing preventing Zobac from winning four straight honors is the schedule. The Cardinals are off until heading to Northwestern for the Midlands Championships Dec. 29-30.
