The goal of our one-hour Yoga class is to help calm your mind as well as stretch, strengthen and help you feel more in tune with your body. The regular practice of Asanas (poses or postures) can help the body become stronger and more flexible. The practice of Pranayama (breathing control) is also an important part of the class, including discussion of breathing exercises and how they can be incorporated into your daily living.
Each class concludes with relaxation and meditation exercises, which can relax the body and steady, quiet and open the mind. Our hope is to clear the mind from worries and uncomfortable thoughts that tend to fill us throughout the day. Bring your own yoga mat!
