Granger Middle School has invited students and their families from its three elementary feeder schools to participate in the Inaugural Grizzly Gallop on Sunday, September 26. This 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will kick off at 8:30 a.m. at Granger. This event not only provides students and families with a chance to exercise, socialize and experience a slice of life at middle school, but proceeds benefit Granger Middle School's Grizzly Den Fitness and Wellness Center.
The Grizzly Gallop features official chip timing, live music by the Prairie Surfers at the finish line and custom designed awards for winners in various categories. Post race food will be provided by Steak n Shake, Big Apple Bagels and Michael's Fresh Market. There will also be vendor tables and a silent auction. All pre-registered participants will receive a race t-shirt and goodie bag. Anderson's Book Shop has partnered in this event and is providing free books to the elementary school that has the highest percentage of students participating.
