Vote For Naperville Girl, 9, in Google Doodle Contest

A Peterson Elementary School student stands to win a college scholarship, and Peterson could get a $50,000 grant if she wins the contest.

Yina Wang, 9, a third-grader at Peterson Elementary School, won a statewide doodle contest put on by Google, according to Fox 32 News.

Her doodle of a "the tree planter," depicts a machine for planting seeds, where you pour seeds into a funnel, set a dial and then plant and water a tree, Fox 32 News reports.

Wang's doodle will now be entered into a national competition, where voters can choose from 50 state winners between April 29 and May 9, according to the Naperville Sun.

The national winner's doodle will be animated on the Google homepage June 9, the Naperville Sun reports, and he or she will win a $30,000 college scholarship and his or her school will get a $50,000 grant.

You can see all the winners and vote for Yang's drawing on Google's "Doodle 4 Google" website.
