Naperville Students Donate to Typhoon Haiyan Relief Efforts

Students from a Naperville school recently donated to relief efforts for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated areas in the Philippines this month.

On Nov. 15, students from Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Naperville presented a donation of $2,524.12 to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to help children affected by Typhoon Haiyan, according to a news release.

Naperville Councilman Bob Fieseler was on hand when students presented a check to UNICEF representative Mandy Sharp-Eizinger.

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to save and improve children's lives, providing health care and immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, and emergency relief, according to a news release.
