'Self Leadership' in successful job hunts: topic of Feb. 22 meeting at St. Thomas

Job seekers:  Learn the importance of self-leadership and the power you have within yourself to create the life you’ve always wanted by attending the program on “Self Leadership” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the gymnasium of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road, Naperville.

 

Laura Menze, owner and Executive Life Coach at LifeQuest Alliance, Inc. in Gurnee will facilitate this workshop aimed at demonstrating that you have the power within yourself to create the live you’ve always wanted. She also firmly believes that being an effective leader to yourself begins your preparation to lead others both in your work and in your family.

In this workshop, job seekers will:

  • Create their personal definition of leadership and embody it;
  • Become aware of their values, passions and strengths, and how to utilize them effectively;
  • Learn the concept of BE/DO/HAVE and how to implement it;
  • Understand the importance of having a destination and begin to uncover it;
  • Discover how to manage themselves in order to stay on track toward their destination;
  • Become aware of personal pitfalls and how to avoid them; and
  • Come away with ideas for continuous self-improvement so they keep moving forward.

 

LifeQuest Alliance specializes in Helping Good People Become Great™ through life coaching for individuals and groups. Menze herself is a member of the International Coach Federation and a board member of the Chicago Coach Federation. She also provides an array of workshops at the College of Lake County Job Center, and volunteers her coaching services at Fresh State of Illinois, a non-profit organization in Libertyville focused on helping people succeed in career transitions.
