District 203 Fills Secondary Education Assistant Superintendant Position

Washington Junior High School principal Bob Ross named Assistant Superintendant for Secondary Education during Monday's board of education meeting.

has named principal of Bob Ross as the new Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education.

The position became available with the recent appointment of Dan Bridges to the position of interim superintendent for the district after Mark Mitrovich .

Ross has served as principal at Washington Junior High since 2006 as well as serving as co-chair of the core team for the School-Family-Community Partnership.

Prior to coming to the district, Ross was an elementary school principal and assistant elementary principal in Elmwood Park. He also taught social studies for seven years in Bloomingdale.

Ross holds a master’s in educational administration from Northern Illinois University, a bachelor’s in teaching from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Type 75 (Secondary Education) and Type 09 (Administration) certification.

Ross and his wife, Shari, live in Naperville and have three children attending district 203 schools.
