The overnight snowfall has left roads slick and forced some businesses, schools and libraries to open late or close for the day.
The College of DuPage County main campus and all of its regional centers will open late Thursday at 10 a.m. due to severe weather, according to the college's website.
ITT Technical Institute in Oak Brook is also opening late on Thursday at 10 a.m., according to the Emergency Closing Center website.
